Halibut Season for Puget Sound

The Halibut season for Puget Sound Areas 6-7-9 has been submitted to the IPHC and pending their aproval the season is set to be Thursday, Friday and Saturdays in May 2010 except the last week end when the open dates are Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Area 5 season is set to begin on May 28 and go thru June 19 with 3 days per week

Area 6-7-9 season is 13 days in May 1,6,7,8,13,14,15,20,21,22,28,29,30 which is a change from past years.

There is no dept restriction on Halibut fishing days in these areas, but on all other days and other areas of Puget sound there is going to be a 120 foot Maximum bottom fishing dept restriction and no retention of rockfish will be allowed.
